Hi everyone! Just wanted to let you all know that I have some masks that I made that are posted over at the Creative Misfits blog! Here is the LINK. They are under the name StaciRosa. I hope you enjoy!
I decided to try making templates again. I used to make them years ago but decided on masks instead so I thought I would give it a try again. This one I am calling Beautifully Creepy. It is for Personal Use Only. You can download it from here. Please let me know if you are not able to get it.
It was asked "I am new to making tags. How do you use masks?" So I thought I would write a quick tutorial on how I use masks. There are several different ways on how to use them, this is how I found works best for me. I usually do them at the end of making a tag so I can find which looks better.
With your bottom layer active, Copy and paste your paper of choice (you can also add a new raster layer and flood fill with the color/gradient of choice). Now for the mask layer. I don't download my masks (and I have lots!) into the PSP file. I make a separate file for them as it tends to slow down PSP with how many I have. So I open the folder that has my masks and choose one then I hit the minus button on it. Now, Layers, New Mask Layer From Image and then you scroll down to find your mask choice and then hit OK.
These are the settings you want to use:
and this is how it should look (I just flood filled with red and applied the mask):
I hope this helps some! If not please leave a message on here and I will do my best to explain.
